A family with a severe hereditary form of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease was selected for exome sequencing to reveal underlying genetic markers.
A set of possibly deleterious SNPs was found.
After the candidate markers are selected, a population screening will be performed to describe the given form of Alzheimer’s disease in terms of penetrance across Russia.
No relevant competing interests disclosed.
