Fostering a culture of innovation to accelerate the reach of knowledge, and put it into the hands of those who will shape the future.
F1000 is an open research publisher and services provider that enables researchers, funders, research institutions, societies, and associations to accelerate the reach of knowledge.
At F1000, we believe that innovation and openness are essential to putting research into the hands of those that will shape the future. As part of Taylor & Francis Group, we are driven by our shared aim of facilitating discovery and allowing users to access relevant research quickly and easily, wherever they are.
The problems that the world faces today demand a different approach to convert research into solutions, quickly. Our unique open research publishing model responds to these pressing needs by prioritizing transparency, reproducibility, and editorial rigor.
About F1000
Our unique publishing model
The F1000 publishing model combines the speed of preprints with the benefits of full publication.
Authors are given autonomy throughout the entire publishing process, from what they choose to
publish to which experts should be invited to review.
We believe that all valid research deserves publication, which is why we welcome a wide range of article types, confirmatory and negative results, and null studies. We accept articles based on research quality not research novelty.
The F1000 publishing model enables publication of diverse research outputs in just five steps:
Data preparation
Article submission
Publication
Open peer review and user commenting
Article revision
